    Default deck track ?

I need to put down some deck track. Can you use some type of adhesive ? I don't want to put screws in the floor if I can get away with it.

I'm sure it would hold with some 5200 if you placed something heavy (like cinder blocks) on it until the 5200 completely cured. I understand people are hesitant to put holes into the deck because of all of the waterlogged hull stories we have heard. In my humble opinion, EVERY instance of water intrusion was caused by poor attention to detail during the initial installation. If you are careful to seal in/around any hull penetrations water intrusion will never be an issure. Just my $.02.

I think what your asking about is a non skid type of stuff. If this isn't what your talking about then just disregard what im about to say. If your putting it down to keep stuff from sliding around, what I did was glue it to the items that were slidind around. I have two cast nets with it glued on, 5 gallon bucket, ext. I think 5200 silicone should work or maybe a weatherstripping adhesive.

    Skiff258,

What type of non slip material did you use on the bottom of these items?

    Tx for your reply.

on our big boat going offshore we use a rubber matt to hold the big coolers in place. they might jump a little but they will not slide and we don't have to glue anything to the decks. I you use the sandpaper type non-slip on the bottoms of the items you don't want to move around, wouldn't that scratch the deck?

It's a rubber type that comes in a roll. I guess it's kind of like the stuff you can put in kitchen cabinets and drawers. They also make a type you can paint on, but not sure how good it holds up.

It's like this but mine came in a roll

I also used 5200 for my deck track and it worked great. I also took some empty paper towel rolls, cut them in half lengthwise, and then glassed them in place underneath the decks. I did this to keep wires off of the floor as much as possible.
